This has become a recent passion of mine. With the imminent rise of cryptocurrencies worldwide, it is definitely time for me to take a deeper dive into the bag of snakes that is accounting for these digital currencies. Although it may be a little bit tedious to some, I presume there are others like me who are interested in making this a part of the future for accountants and bookkeepers to know.
I will be taking the next few posts to zero-in on some of the finer points of accounting for cryptocurrencies on companies' balance sheets. There will be some fun times, probably some rather dry times, and possibly murky times during which we will go through this journey to understand the nuances of this somewhat tricky subject.
Looking forward to taking this dive, and learning a bit in the process. As the days roll on in this endeavor, don't be shy to ask questions or add any advice for everyone!
